Aegis
was founded May 18, 1962, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, by Charles and Mary
Armstrong along with Dr. Lawrence and Isabelle Shinabery. Aegis was
originally a sales company when the owners saw the need for a short to
medium run production shop. Aegis’ original building was built at its
current location at 5411 Industrial Road and has expanded over the past
four decades to include 16,500 sq ft.
Aegis has continued to expand and succeed while maintaining control of our
manufacturing principles. In 1980, Aegis purchased its first precision CNC
machine and has continually invested in new equipment and technology. Aegis
has evolved into a short to medium run CNC custom manufacturing Job Shop
focusing on Quality and Service.
